Through hard work, dedication and the love of crafts many women from the locality of Roscrea came together and raised money for two very special local charities. The group produced quality handmade crafts and sold them on a stall at the Christmas Craft Fair that was held in the Damer Court Hotel.
On Friday 20th February 2009 a “Supper Dance” was held by The Women’s Group of Roscrea 2000 Ltd. On this night Ms Eileen Carroll, Ms Andrea Patterson and Ms Val Spencer were presented with cheques by the very proud Ladies. Eileen was their representing “The Laurels” Dean Maxwell Home and Andrea and Val were there from the Roscrea branch of the I.S.P.C.A. We know the money will be put to great use within these very worthwhile charities. A big THANKS to all the women involved, it was a great success.
