For the first time Tipperary is taking part in Darkness into Light which is the national fundraiser for Pieta House which specialised in the prevention of self-harm and suicide. With three centres of excellence [Lucan, Ballyfermot and one in Limerick] Pieta also supports outreach work with plans on going to provide an outreach centre in Roscrea, with the help of Roscrea Joins Pieta volunteers, which will be able to offer support to those with suicidal feelings or thoughts of self-harm in all of Tipperary and neighbouring counties.
