Also honoured on the night were the surviving members of the 1954 team, which was also victorious over Borrisoleigh in the North Final that year. Those honoured included Donie Ryan, Rody Ryan, Dinny Ryan, Gerry Butler, Mick Butler, Liam Carson, Jimmy Hogan, Kevin Moloney, Frank Dyer and Harry Gorman.

The night will be especially remembered for a speech by County Vice Chairman John Costigan who recalled fondly all the great Roscrea stars who have won All-Ireland Senior Hurling Medals in the Blue and Gold of Tipperary. Ger Mckeogh The North Secretary also spoke as did Roscrea Chairman Bertie Fitzpatrick who had great words of encouragement for all Roscrea teams for the year ahead.
Music on the night was provided by popular band Heatherside and the club would like to pay particular thanks to Eamonn Cunningham General Manager of Racket Hall for helping make the occasion such a marvellous success. Hopefully the occasion will herald in a new era of regular evenings of celebration for Roscrea Hurling Club.
