Proprietor: Finola Conway
Manager: Noreen Ryan Roscrea Shopping Centre opened in 1992. Glitzi Bitz opened at this time in what might be described as the smallest unit in the shopping centre. Little did the staff and proprietor know how successful this little shop was going to be, the shop was an instant attraction for all ages, especially teenagers.
Glitzi Bitz deals in a wide range of stock including, hats, scarves, costume jewellery, watches, sterling silver jewellery, bags, belts, hair extensions, body jewellery, fun party wear (wigs etc.) and a wide range of gifts.
The shop is a Mecca for the young people of the town to purchase all their essential accessories for all occasions and nights out. Gitzi Bitz recently moved premises, the shop is still within the centre but is now located in a much larger unit. Noreen Ryan, the manager of Glitzi Bitz, stated that with the new premises she can now offer a far greater range of stock than ever before.
This large range of stock satisfies the demand of not only the customers of Roscrea but of the surrounding towns also. Glitzi Bitz receives a lot of custom from nearby towns. Many people travel from towns such as, Birr, Borris-in-ossory, Templemore, Thurles, Nenagh and Rathdowny to accessorize in style.
The Roscrea shop is one of a group of nine shops nationwide. The other shops are located in Longford, Limerick(x2), Athlone, Waterford, Cork, Ennis and Galway.
The manger and staff of Glitzi Bitz would like to thank all their customers for their continued support and best wishes, which they have received before and after their move to the new premises.
