Roscrea is in for a big treat on Friday next the 18th of November when the “Delicious Divas” who enthralled audiences during the recent Aonach Ros Cré festival, make a welcome return to the town.
The “Divas” were certainly one of the highlights of a very successful festival and getting them back so soon after such a wonderful and memorable performance is a thrilling bonus.
The Delicious Divas are Deirdre Moynihan (soprano) and Pauline Frizelle (mezzo soprano). They are classically trained professional singers whose beautiful voices and exquisite harmonies have won them many fans both at home and abroad. Performances worldwide include America, Canada, Japan, China, Israel, Lebanon, Brazil and Europe. They have also lent there voices to recordings for Michael Flatley (of Lord of The Dance), Celtic Woman, Secret Garden and several film scores etc.
Over the past few years the Delicious Divas have been developing their own unique style and they feel that the time is now right to release their debut CD ‘Sweet Undertones’. It is a spellbinding collection of Irish songs given which is guaranteed to delight any listener. Audiences on Friday next will be treated to many of the songs that feature on this fantastic completion.
Also attending the concert will be Special Guest Norah King who has performed in many of the nations most acclaimed opera houses. She also has vast international operatic experience and her presence on the night will add greatly to the occasion.
The concert will take place in the Damer Court Hotel (Formally Grants Hotel, Castle Street) at 8.30pm on Friday November 18th. Tickets for the event which are priced at just €12,50 with concessions for €10.00 are available now from the Hotel and Roscrea Music Store.
