Tadhg Maher, Annegrove, Roscrea will be launching his debut CD recording on Friday 19th May in the Damer Court Hotel. This night promises to be a wonderful occasion and the launch will be performed by the well-known pianist Professor Mícheál Ó Suilleabháin. Tadhg has been singing all his life and has won numerous all-Ireland titles between Fleadhanna Cheoil, Scór and Scoraíocht competitions (In singing, Irish and English, lilting and whistling). He has taken leading parts in many shows with Roscrea Musical Society and is also involved with Roscrea Comhaltas branch. On a national level he is youth officer on the Ard-Comhairle of Comhaltas Ceoltoirí Éireann.
He is resident singer for the last ten years with the renowned Brú Ború group based in Cashel, Tipperary. He has toured China, Japan, Zambia, Slovenia, Czech Republic and Latvia with them and with Comhaltas Ceoltoirí Éireann he has toured America, Canada, Britain and Ireland. He has broadcast on local and national radio stations and has appeared on many RTE and TG4 programmes such as ‘Ardán’, ‘Geantraí’ and ‘Up for the Match’. |
