Shinrone Lughnasa Festival 2nd August – 6th August 2006 Programme of Events

Wednesday 2nd August

7.30pm Inter-demonical Service, St Mary’s Church of Ireland
8.45pm Art Exhibition Opening, Cloughmoyle School, Cheese & Wine Reception, entry €5.

Friday 4th August

6-9pm Art Exhibition, Cloughmoyle School, entry fee
9pm Old Time Dancing, Shinrone Community Hall, €7 entry pay on the door

Saturday 5th August

10am-12pm Children’s Art Class, Bramble Studios, Rathcahill, Shinrone, €5 per child.  To book phone Cyril or Hazel on 0505 47763

1.30pm-5pm Workshops in Shinrone National School. 
Guitar, Tribal Drumming, Tie-dye T-shirts/Mask making and Dance.  The workshops will be running at the same time for an hour each session.  Maximum of 3 workshops per child.  €2 each child per workshop.

5pm Art Competition Results, Refreshments and Entertainment at Shinrone National School.
6.30pm-Late Beat in the Street, an opportunity for bands to play to a live crowd.  If you would like to take part, phone Dom on 0505 47490 (after 6pm)

Sunday 6th August

1pm Parade, starting from The Castle Bar Pub.  Music, fancy dress, vintage cars, drumming, dancing etc.  If you would like to walk in fancy dress or want your club/organisation represented or bring a float, phone Siobhán 0505 47856 (after 6pm)

1.30pm-5pm Field Day, Dog Show, bring your own dogs, face painting, pony rides, Birds of Prey, Duck Derby, free bouncy castle, craft fayre, soccer final, Auction, plus much more

10.30pm-Late Keith McDonald and the Showband Show, Shinrone Community Hall, food served from 10.30pm-11.30pm.  For tickets please see a member of the committee.
