St Eileen Maher thanks the people of RoscreaThe raffle for the Uganda Mission fund took place last Saturday recently. Sister Eileen Maher is now gone back to Uganda. She was overwhelmed by the response of the people of the locality to this fund, and the children to whom she is taking this money will greatly appreciate this help to further their education. To-date the total collected is €8,000. She wishes to thank the committee who helped in the Credit Union, the Management and staff of the Credit Union for their help and concern, and also the many sponsors of the raffle – Centenary DIY Home and Garden centre, Super Valu, Freshfields, Grants Hotel, Racket Hall Hotel, Donal O’Sullivan’s, Jimmy Teehan discount store and many anonymous donors.
The raffle prizes were won by Nuala Moore, Killavilla, Bernie Smith, Curraguneen, Roscrea, Rowena Kenny, Clyduff, Shinrone, John Nolan, Kennedy Park, Roscrea, Simone Gordon, Parkmore Heights, Roscrea, P.J. Wright, Assumption Park, Roscrea, Kelly Seacy, Glentara, Roscrea, Marie O’Hara, Ballycleary, Roscrea, Brian Teehan, Clonaganna, Roscrea and Lawrence Flannery, Shinrone.
 Brian King, Business Development Officer, Roscrea Credit Union, congratulates Sr Eileen Maher and her “Uganda Mission Fund Working Committee”, who helped raise over €8000.00 recently at Roscrea Credit Union. The money will now be used to help educate primary school children in Uganda.
