Ashbury Youth Group “Live from Bethlehem”
Nativity Play & Variety Show.
The above show was held on the 31st of December 2006 in the GAA Pavilion in Ashbury.
The play was performed by the local youth group. All the children who were rehearsing under the direction of Steven Mills every week since September put in a great effort and the residents association would like to thank these children for their time and commitment.
Other acts performed on the day included, Dinny Quirke, Aidan Flynn, Margaret Comerford, Maura Moloney, and our very own members Steven Mills, Angela Nolan and Chairperson Tommy Murphy.
Ashbury Youth Award:
A special award was given to Mr Aaron Dollard one of the members of the Youth Group. Not only has Aaron shown himself to be very capable on the stage, he has also worked tirelessly with the members of the Residents Association on several other projects. Mr Aaron Dollard received a new mobile phone which was kindly donated by Vodafone, Roscrea store, Roscrea Shopping Centre. Well-done Aaron!
Another presentation was given on the day to Mrs Eileen Kennedy who is taking a career break as group support worker in Roscrea 2000 Ltd. The Residents Association would like to thank Eileen for her kindness, support and generosity over the years.
