Presentation of Charity Concert Proceeds
Roscrea Community Choir under the baton of Ms. Lucia McCarthy and accompanied by Ms. Joan Murray, performed with renowned local artiste Nigel Williams (bass) on November 7th in St. Cronan’s Church of Ireland Roscrea. The concert was in aid of “The Laurels”, Roscrea’s own hospice unit. The choir would like to thank all those who supported the concert and wish them every blessing and happiness for Christmas and the New Year. Proceeds on the night amounted to €6,033 and this was presented to Ms. Ann Murray, Matron, Dean Maxwell Home following the choir’s performance at the Service of Lessons and Carols in Roscrea Methodist Church on December 18th last.

Murray, Matron, Dean Maxwell Home –“The Laurels”. The money presented was the proceeds of carol-singing undertaken by the Junior Comhaltas members during Christmas week.
This very talented young group are busy this week with Comhaltas Ceoltóirí Éireann’s “Ceol an Gheimhridh” competition. They are also supplying entertainment for the Roscrea People of the Year presentations.
