The journal is full of interesting articles and should prove to be a very entertaining read. Apart from the yearly review of most clubs, committees and organisations in the area, this year’s edition also features wonderful articles and topics related to the town as well as contributions from 11 year old Ava Meagher, Sister Mona Maher, Adrian Hewson and Tom Lupton. Articles by liam Doran and Chris Percival about “John Moten” who fought in World War II and Sgt John Moyney who won the Victoria Cross, prove fascinating. Eamonn Horan writes a lovely piece about “Golden Grove” and for Sports Enthusiasts, Seamus O’Doherty has “A Moment In Time” piece, featuring the fascinating Munster Club Championship Final of 1972 which featured Roscrea against Glen Rovers of Cork.
The Roscrea People is very favourably priced at just €10.00 and makes an ideal stocking filler each Christmas.
