The Theresa Larkin School of Music will host what promises to be a wonderfully entertaining variety concert full of music, song and dance in the Racket Hall Hotel, Roscrea, on Friday the 23rd of May at 8.00pm.
The Theresa Larkin School Of Music is famed throughout the country for the exceptional talent at it’s disposal. Friday the 23rd of May will present a rare opportunity for live entertainment lovers to relax and enjoy some of the best musicians, singers and dancers that we have living in Roscrea and it’s neighbouring towns and villages.
Proceeds from the Variety Concert will be aid of Brú Columbanus, University Hospital, Cork. Brú Columbanus is a facility that provides “home from home” accommodation for relatives of patients in Cork Hospitals and Hospice. Each day families needing accommodation so that they can be close to their loved ones, are referred to Brú. The services Brú offer help lessen the stress of the financial worry these families are faced with when one of their own has to endure an extensive stay in hospital. While Brú Columbanus does have a set of criteria that must be met before accommodation can be offered, the reality is, that to date over 850 families have stayed in Brú Columbanus which offers a warm, welcoming and caring environment.
Brú Columbanus operates with the minimum possible paid staff helped by a number of dedicated volunteers. This small independent charity is totally reliant on the generosity of individuals and groups large and small whose donations and fundraising events help raise the money needed to cover all the running costs associated with the service. Your presence therefore at the variety concert on Friday the 23rd of May would be more than appreciated. By sitting back, relaxing and enjoying the concert you will have the pleasure of knowing, that at the same time you are helping keep alive one of the hardest working charities in the southern part of Ireland. Best wishes to all involved.
